I am from El Salvador. My favorite story when I was young was "Cinderella".
Cinderella
Cinderella was beautiful, poor, and young girl. She had two evil stepsisters and a stepmother who lived with her. They had an invitation to a party from the king of the castle. Her stepsisters bought new dresses and they went to the party and left Cinderella in the house cleaning and cooking.
Cinderella was crying because she wanted to go but she didn't have a beautiful dress and a pair shoes. But suddenly her fairy godmother appeared to her. She brought her a beautiful dress and a new pair of gold shoes. When Cinderella dressed she looked like a princess.
She went to the party in a fancy coach. She was dancing with the prince when the bell on the clock rang. She remembered that when that happens her magic would be gone. She started to run away, but when she jumped to get in the car, she lost one shoe.
The next day, the king sent a servant to try the shoe on each foot of the women that lived in the village. The magic shoe didn't fit on any woman's foot, just on Cinderella's foot. The Cinderella and the prince got married and lived happily ever after.

Once upon on time, there were two children who got lost in the forest, and they felt scared about the lonely place. They found a little house made of candy. But this house belonged to a witch. The problem began when she came back home. She wanted to eat them. She wanted to cook them, but they escaped from that place on time. The children found their way back home.

I like it because the wolf had big eyes.
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD
Once upon a time, one little girl had a good idea to carry a full basket with food to her grandmother's house. She went through the forest while the wolf hid behind the bush. The girl found her supposed grandmother on the bed, but she didn't know that she wasn't really her grandmother. She began to ask her, "Why do have big eyes?" "Because I can see better," said the wolf. She asked, "Why do you have big ears?" "So I can hear better," said the wolf. Red Riding Hood asked, "Why do you have a big mouth?" "The better to gobble you up!" said the wolf. Red Riding Hood went running out and found a woodchopper. He cut the wolf open and got the grandmother out. Red Riding Hood was happy.
