The site will include "a short fictionalized story in 4 chapters aimed at low-intermediate ESOL students. Each page will contain a brief chunk of text accompanied by a photograph; users will click through the story slideshow fashion, with the option of listening to the story by clicking on an audio icon. The story, about an immigrant who overcomes her fear of the NYC subway, was inspired by my own students' experiences and is intended to function as a subway primer, introducing subway-specific vocabulary and subway navigation (and etiquette!) tips. Grammarwise, the story is mostly limited to simple present and past tenses, with plenty of repetition and modeling of commonly used irregular forms. There will be some scaffolding built in so that a user confronted with an irregular form, such as "flew" would be able to click on it and see the base form (fly)." send e-mail

The site will consist of a visual overview of how the Internet works and the types of information available. send e-mail
